It is a game

Doseword is for entertainment and general education. Its scores, grades, syllable counts, and similarity checks are simplified game mechanics. They do not provide medical, legal, trademark, or regulatory advice, confirm that a drug name is safe or available, or predict approval by WHO, USAN, the FDA, or any other organization. Doseword is not affiliated with or endorsed by those organizations.

Play considerately

Use multiplayer names and submissions that are appropriate for your group. Do not harass other players, impersonate someone, expose private information, or submit unlawful content. Do not bypass access controls, abuse device links, automate disruptive traffic, or deliberately interfere with games or infrastructure.

You need permission to use the device and connection you play on. If you cannot agree to these terms yourself under the law where you live, ask a parent or guardian to review them with you.

Optional accounts

Use an email address you control. Keep your sign-in links, passkeys, authenticator secrets, and recovery codes private. You are responsible for activity you authorize on your signed-in devices. Account access may be suspended for abuse; contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken.

Keep recovery codes if you enable two-factor authentication. Email access alone does not bypass that protection. You can export your progress, sign out other sessions, or delete your account and connected profile in account settings.

Your names, your responsibility

You retain any rights you have in the names and other content you submit. You allow Doseword to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the game, room history, and sharing features you use. Do not submit content you do not have permission to use.

The Doseword name, logo, artwork, and interface are not transferred to you by playing. You are welcome to share your own results using the game’s sharing tools.

Progress, devices & availability

Guest progress is associated with your browser’s device credentials. Optional accounts connect that progress to a verified email address, so you can access it by signing in. Linking devices gives them access to the same profile; anyone using a linked browser may be able to play as you or manage that profile. Protect your device and only share linking codes with your own devices.

The game is provided free of charge. Features, scoring rules, availability, and these terms may change. We work to preserve progress, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or recovery after lost credentials, cleared browser storage, or technical faults. Offline plays must reconnect to sync; Daily Doses and multiplayer require a connection.

Abusive use may be restricted to protect other players and the service. Nothing in these terms takes away rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded where you live.
